Job Overview:
The Data Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the development of a Cloud Central Data Hub, serving as an analytics platform for the organization. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including donor services and project managers, to derive insights from data that inform strategic decisions. The Data Analyst will be instrumental in promoting data-driven practices within the Marketing department, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of donor data flows, and conceptualizing future data applications. This position requires a proactive approach to overcoming challenges related to data collection, particularly in regions facing infrastructural difficulties. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team that values innovation and aims to drive the organization forward through effective data utilization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for overseeing data flows within the Marketing department, ensuring a holistic understanding of private donor data. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing the future of data in collaboration with stakeholders, defining data quality standards and processes, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and supporting the development of new measures and donor journeys. The analyst will guide colleagues in the Marketing department, set standards for data usage, and act as a data ambassador for the organization. Additionally, the role involves driving advanced analytics projects independently, mentoring junior colleagues, and leveraging analytical skills to extract valuable insights from data.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong personality with a passion for data and a commitment to advancing the organization's mission. They should be customer-oriented, proactive, and communicative, with high quality standards and experience in conceptual work. A goal-oriented and independent work style, along with the ability to make decisions and delegate tasks, is essential. Strong analytical thinking skills and a willingness to embrace new challenges are also required. The ideal candidate should enjoy teamwork and be able to express their opinions effectively.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in business administration, economics with a focus on analytics, (business) computer science, data science, (business) mathematics, software engineering, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding complex data systems and analytics.

Experience:
Candidates should have experience with the Azure tool stack, MS PowerBI, and knowledge of SQL, which will facilitate a smooth transition into the role. Familiarity with common CRM systems such as Salesforce is also advantageous. The position requires a demonstrated ability to extract insights from data that contribute to the organization's goals.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Proficiency in German is also required, given that Welthungerhilfe operates in nearly 40 countries, including Germany. While French is not a requirement, it is considered a plus and may enhance communication with stakeholders in French-speaking regions.
