Job Overview:
The position of Praktikant*in in the project "Bilateral Energy Partnerships" involves supporting the Germany team in implementing cross-cutting themes related to cooperation with civil society and academia. The intern will engage in project management tasks, assist with ongoing consulting requests, and contribute to the planning, organization, and evaluation of activities and events. The role also includes the development and implementation of the work area focused on civil society and think tanks in the context of energy transition and industrial decarbonization. The intern will conduct research, analyze energy policy topics, and support knowledge and information management, as well as public relations and external communication efforts. An individual project, such as a study, is expected to be carried out independently during the internship.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Supporting project management activities, such as preparing for and following up on internal meetings, coordinating tasks with partnership secretariats in partner countries, and assisting with ongoing consulting requests from the EP secretariats.
  • Contributing to the conception, organization, and evaluation of activities and events related to the project.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the work area focused on civil society and think tanks in the context of energy transition and industrial decarbonization.
  • Conducting research and analysis on energy policy topics, providing content support for inquiries related to developments in the energy sector in partner countries or within the German energy industry.
  • Supporting knowledge and information management efforts.
  • Assisting in the conception and creation of public relations and external communication products.
  • Carrying out an individual project related to the aforementioned themes during the internship.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a Master's program (or have recently completed one) in fields such as political science, economics, engineering, geography, natural sciences, regional studies, or possess comparable academic qualifications. They should have gained initial experience in the energy sector and in promoting foreign economic relations. A strong interest in current political and economic developments in the field of energy transition in Germany and in emerging countries is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a pronounced service orientation. They should enjoy writing and have a high level of proficiency in both German and English. Proficiency in common MS Office applications is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being currently enrolled in a Master's program or having recently completed one in relevant fields such as political science, economics, engineering, geography, natural sciences, or regional studies. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of energy policy and international cooperation.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have some initial experience in the energy sector and in the area of foreign economic promotion. This experience can be gained through internships, academic projects, or relevant coursework that provides insight into energy policies and international relations.

Languages:
