  • This calendar will serve as a creative tool to communicate UNICEF's work and values, highlighting key achievements and significant dates. The designer will be responsible for developing the full layout and visual design, ensuring that the calendar is engaging and adheres to UNICEF's branding guidelines. The final product must be ready for print distribution by November 30, 2025, and will require collaboration with the Communications Team to incorporate feedback and revisions. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop the full layout and visual design of the 2026 office desk calendar, ensuring it is visually appealing and engaging.
  • Create compelling graphics, images, and other visuals that align with UNICEF's branding.
  • Ensure the calendar is bilingual (English and Arabic), maintaining clear readability and consistency across both languages.
  • Highlight UNICEF Oman’s 55-year history and key achievements in a visually engaging manner.
  • Include international, regional, and local days of significance, ensuring they are clearly marked and visually highlighted throughout the calendar.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to incorporate content and provide timely feedback for revisions.
  • Ensure adherence to UNICEF branding, visual identity, and design guidelines throughout the design process.
  • Deliver editable source files (InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop) and final PDF versions suitable for printing by the deadline.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and visual communication.
  • Ability to create bilingual content with attention to readability and consistency.
  • Experience in creating engaging and visually appealing layouts for print materials.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Communications Team.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous graphic design work, particularly in bilingual or multicultural contexts, is preferred.

Educational Background:
A background in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have relevant coursework or training that demonstrates their design skills and understanding of branding principles.

Experience:
Previous experience in graphic design, particularly in creating print materials, is highly desirable. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in a multicultural environment is a plus.
