Job Overview:
The Product Architect & Delivery Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of the Digital Vaccine Intelligence Platform. This role involves translating business outcomes into a secure, interoperable platform that consolidates vaccine forecasts, purchase orders, shipments, funding, and national stock levels. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including UNICEF ICTD, Supply Division, Gavi, and the Gates Foundation, to ensure the successful implementation of the platform across multiple phases, with specific deliverables and timelines outlined for each phase. The position requires a strong understanding of solution architecture, business analysis, and agile delivery leadership, with a focus on creating a user-friendly interface that meets the needs of various users.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will lead the following key areas:
  • Product Architecture Leadership: Own the solution architecture, including data ingestion, semantic models, and role-based access. Define interface contracts and APIs for external integration, ensuring alignment with UNICEF data standards.
  • Business Analysis & Requirements: Facilitate discovery sessions with users, translating outcomes into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Establish data ownership and stewardship matrices.
  • Agile Delivery & Scrum Mastery: Manage the project backlog, sprint planning, and cross-team delivery, ensuring clear definitions of ready/done and a transparent release plan.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change: Coordinate with partners for definitions and report formats, and deliver training and support after each phase. The consultant will also be responsible for achieving specific deliverables within set timelines for each project phase, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of all stakeholders involved.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or Technology Management. They should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect for custom applications, with at least 2 years leading the delivery of supply planning and immunization planning digital solutions. Additionally, candidates should have extensive experience in business analysis, agile digital projects, data visualization, and data architecture, particularly with Azure technologies. Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of data privacy and ICT governance.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Product Design, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or Technology Management is required. This educational background should provide a strong foundation for understanding the complexities of product architecture and digital solutions in a global context.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including roles as a Solution Architect and Business Analyst. Experience in leading digital solutions for supply planning and immunization is crucial, as is familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps. A proven track record of working on data visualization projects and understanding data architecture is also necessary.

Languages:
Fluent English is essential for this position. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not specified as mandatory.
