The Statistics Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is dedicated to enhancing the quality and availability of statistics in the Asia-Pacific region. Established to support the region's development goals, ESCAP works with various stakeholders to implement programs that build statistical capacity and promote the use of data for informed decision-making. The organization operates across multiple countries in Asia and the Pacific, collaborating with national statistical offices and other international organizations to ensure that statistical practices adhere to the highest standards. Job Overview:
The internship within the Statistics Division is designed for individuals seeking to gain practical experience in statistical analysis and data management. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced staff members, engaging in a variety of tasks that support the division's objectives. The internship is structured to last a minimum of three months, with the possibility of extension up to six months, depending on the needs of the division. Interns are expected to commit to a full-time schedule of five days per week, totaling 35 hours. This role provides an excellent opportunity for interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, contributing to significant projects such as the Asia-Pacific SDG Progress Report.
