Job Overview:
As an IT Infrastructure Expert at Welthungerhilfe, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries and solutions related to the organization's global network infrastructure and data center located in Bonn, Germany. Your role will involve both independent and collaborative development of IT infrastructure, where you will administer and integrate existing and new systems and solutions. You will play a crucial role in digitization projects, contributing significantly to their success through your expertise. Additionally, you will provide advisory support to various departments both domestically and internationally on IT infrastructure-related matters, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include the strategic development, hands-on administration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure solutions. You will oversee the global network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable communication between country and project locations, the data center in Bonn, and the Berlin office. You will manage the data center's network and server infrastructure, including UCS and SAN, while driving the standardization of the global IT infrastructure through the development and communication of guidelines and standards. You will independently develop and implement solutions for the secure and high-performance integration of external systems, networks, and applications in collaboration with IT security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security experts. Furthermore, you will be responsible for advising and supporting specialist departments and digitization projects on IT infrastructure-related topics, ensuring that all projects align with the organization's strategic goals.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must possess a university or college degree in computer science, IT security, or a comparable field. You should have several years of experience in designing and managing IT integration and infrastructure solutions. A strong specialist knowledge of network and server technology, as well as storage networks, is essential. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of IT security principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with a high willingness to learn and a motivation to develop the organization's IT infrastructure. You should also recognize the growing value of data in your field and be able to incorporate data-driven approaches into your work.
