The Logistics Support position at WFP is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries. Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Logistics Support position should possess a combination of relevant experience and educational qualifications. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in a related business stream, with a focus on general administrative work. Experience in using corporate systems to monitor shipments, analyze data, and draft reports is essential. Additionally, candidates should have experience in measuring service providers’ performance against set KPIs and assisting in the preparation of contract documentation. Technical business support experience in corporate systems is also desirable.
Educational Background:
Candidates are required to have completed secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area being desirable. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the logistics support role, enabling candidates to understand the complexities of logistics operations and the importance of adhering to corporate standards and procedures.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least five years of progressively responsible work experience in logistics or a related field. This experience should include a strong focus on administrative tasks, data analysis, and vendor management.
