Job Overview:
The Communication Associate (Digital) will work under the close supervision of the Communication Specialist to assist in planning, designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating digital communication initiatives. This role supports the advocacy, communication, and private sector fundraising strategy of the Country Office. Key responsibilities include managing social media platforms and the website, developing content, fostering relationships with young creators and influencers, and ensuring that children's issues are highlighted on digital platforms. The associate will also monitor metrics and evaluate the performance of digital communication efforts to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement. Administrative support is also a key aspect of this role, which includes procurement of supplies and services, vendor checks, and budget monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective support to the Communication Specialist in preparing communication products and materials that align with the country communication and advocacy strategy.
  • Assist in the management of the website by planning, gathering, and publishing content that supports communication and advocacy strategies.
  • Develop content and manage social media accounts, fostering relationships with young creators and influencers to promote children's issues.
  • Monitor metrics and evaluate the performance of digital platforms, delivering analytical reports on a timely basis.
  • Provide administrative support including procurement of supplies, vendor checks, quotation collection, contract finalization, payment processing, and budget monitoring.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to communication or digital media.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in communication, advocacy, or digital communication is required, including experience in social media, journalism, or marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage multimedia content for social media and websites, with strong copywriting skills and proficiency in video and photo editing.
  • Practical knowledge of design and content creation platforms such as Canva, Figma, Hootsuite, Sony Vegas, Movavi, or similar tools is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Drupal or other Content Management Systems (CMS) is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Completion of secondary education is required, with a preference for candidates who have pursued technical or university courses related to communication, digital media, or a relevant field.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in communication, advocacy, or digital communication. This experience should encompass social media management, journalism, digital marketing, or related fields. Experience in administrative or clerical support is considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Russian is required for this position. Knowledge of the Kyrgyz language is considered an asset, enhancing the ability to communicate effectively within the local context.
