Job Overview:
The Programme Assistant (Field Operations) will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of WFP's programs throughout the Gaza Strip. This position requires close collaboration with a small team to ensure effective field-level operations across various intervention types and modalities. The incumbent will be responsible for real-time oversight of program implementation, which includes supporting planning, adaptation, and learning processes. This role involves reviewing and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to drive operational improvements. The Programme Assistant will ensure that activities are executed according to WFP standards and will facilitate coordination with cooperating partners to ensure a seamless flow of information. The position is vital for maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of WFP's operations in the region, ensuring that the organization's objectives are met and that beneficiaries receive the necessary assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key accountabilities for the Programme Assistant (Field Operations) include contributing to the development and implementation of various projects to meet WFP objectives, maintaining strong working relationships with cooperating partners to facilitate program implementation, and coordinating internally to understand the status of different programs and define monitoring priorities. The incumbent will conduct systematic supervision visits to program sites to assess adherence to protocols, take corrective measures as needed, and identify challenges to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the Programme Assistant will coordinate with cooperating partners to ensure their stock reports are accurate, targets are met, and reporting obligations are fulfilled. The role also involves compiling and maintaining accurate information on program status, addressing monitoring and evaluation recommendations, and collaborating with other units and relevant counterparts to support effective implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completion of secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in International Affairs, Law, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Policy, or Management being desirable. The position requires fluency in Arabic (level C) and professional proficiency in English (level B). Additionally, candidates should have at least four years of experience in program implementation and management, a good understanding of design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, and the ability to contribute to achieving defined objectives. Strong working experience with cooperating partners and the ability to coordinate activities with multiple actors are essential. Candidates should also have good writing skills, elementary data analysis skills, and knowledge of the local context and cultural considerations.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completion of secondary school education, with a preference for candidates who have obtained a post-secondary certificate in relevant fields such as International Affairs, Law, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Policy, or Management. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in program implementation and management. Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, with a level C proficiency required. Additionally, professional proficiency in English (level B) is also required. Additional Notes:
This position is a Service Contract (SC) with a duration of 12 months, subject to WFP needs, staff performance, and the availability of funds. The duty station is in Gaza, and the vacancy is specifically for Palestinian nationals residing in Gaza. The remuneration for this position is based on the SC salary scale, with health coverage provided under CIGNA, including co-cost sharing. Social insurance contributions of 8.33% will be added to the net base salary. The position offers annual leave of 2.5 days per month and sick leave of 2 days per month. It is important to note that remuneration under the SC is not exempt from national or local taxation. Candidates must have a valid visa or permit to live and work in Palestine.
