Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is designed for young women who have completed the OSCE Local Dialogue Academy or OSCE Girls’ Talks. The selected intern will support the Public Participation Section of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, contributing to the implementation of key initiatives aimed at empowering young women and promoting civic engagement. The internship will run from November 3, 2025, to March 3, 2026, providing a unique opportunity for the intern to gain practical experience in areas such as content creation, program coordination, and community engagement. The intern will play a vital role in advancing the mission's objectives related to gender equality, peacebuilding, and youth participation in democratic processes. This position not only offers a chance to contribute to meaningful projects but also serves as a platform for personal and professional growth, allowing the intern to develop essential skills in communication, organization, and leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in the development and content curation of the MagDA – the Dialogue Academy Magazine, which highlights the voices and stories of young women; supporting the Apprenticeship Programme by coordinating logistics, following up with mentors, and ensuring participants receive valuable experiences; organizing the Civil Society Forum (CSO Forum) by mobilizing participants, coordinating sessions, and ensuring that the perspectives of youth and women are included in discussions; facilitating online exchanges among Girls’ Talks alumnae to strengthen their engagement; performing other assignments as required by the Public Participation Section; and drafting and submitting regular and final internship reports to the Activity Manager. The intern will be expected to actively participate in all initiatives and contribute to the overall goals of the mission.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be no older than 30 years on the application deadline date and should have completed at least two years of full-time university education at an accredited institution or have obtained a first or postgraduate degree in a relevant field within the last two years. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the intern will engage with diverse participants and stakeholders. Exceptional organizational abilities are required to effectively coordinate logistics and guide post-program initiatives. Additionally, former participation in the OSCE Local Dialogue Academy for Young Women or Girls’ Talks is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate excellent knowledge of English and either Albanian or Serbian, as these languages are crucial for effective communication within the role.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes at least two years of full-time university education in a relevant field, such as social sciences, international relations, gender studies, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates who have recently graduated with a first or postgraduate degree in a relevant field within the last two years are also eligible to apply. The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will provide a contribution towards the cost of living for national interns who are non-residents at the duty station, equivalent to 10% of the applicable BLA rate.
