This role is pivotal in advancing key initiatives aimed at empowering young women and promoting their active participation in civic life. The intern will engage in various activities, including contributing to the MagDA magazine, which serves as a platform for young women to express their views on gender equality and civic engagement. Additionally, the intern will assist in the Apprenticeship Programme, providing practical skills and mentorship to participants, and will help organize the Civil Society Forum, ensuring that youth and women's perspectives are included in discussions with civil society and decision-makers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop professional skills while making a meaningful impact in the community.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks, including: assisting in the development of the MagDA magazine, which involves curating content and coordinating with contributors; strengthening engagement among Girls’ Talks alumnae through online exchanges; providing logistical support for the Apprenticeship Programme; facilitating alumnae-led initiatives; drafting and submitting regular and final internship reports; and performing other assignments as required by the Public Participation Section. The intern will play a crucial role in mobilizing participants for the Civil Society Forum and ensuring that discussions reflect the voices of young women.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be no older than 30 years on the application deadline date and should have completed at least two years of full-time university education at an accredited institution or have obtained a first or postgraduate degree in a relevant field within the last two years. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the intern will engage with diverse participants. Exceptional organizational abilities are required to coordinate logistics effectively and guide post-program initiatives. The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively is crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should have a background in social sciences, gender studies, international relations, or a related field. A degree from an accredited institution is necessary, and candidates who have recently graduated or are in the process of completing their education are encouraged to apply. Experience: While prior work experience is not mandatory, any relevant experience in community engagement, event organization, or media production will be considered an asset. Languages: Fluency in English is required, along with proficiency in either Albanian or Serbian. The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will provide a contribution towards the cost of living for non-resident interns, equivalent to 10% of the applicable BLA rate.
