Job Overview: The Partnerships Officer plays a crucial role in facilitating the work of senior staff to effectively position WFP with public, private, and external partners. This position is vital for attracting policy support, resources, technical assistance, and innovative solutions that advance WFP's mission, particularly in supporting member states in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Zero Hunger initiative. Duties and Responsibilities: The Partnerships Officer will be responsible for managing the work plan for assigned areas to identify, develop, and strengthen quality partnerships that align with WFP's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include managing the partnerships portfolio, conducting partner profiling and outreach activities to maximize resources, and leveraging policy and technical support for WFP's initiatives. The officer will also support partner visibility and ensure compliance with partner conditions. Additionally, candidates should have experience in motivating team spirit and fostering a gender-balanced, inclusive, and sound working environment. Educational Background: Applicants should hold an advanced university degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
