Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties include developing a comprehensive content plan for social media, creating a concept and script for a video, designing and producing two carousel posts for LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, and producing a video that captures the experiences of participants in the regional workshops. The consultant will work closely with the Division to create, review, and finalize project assets, ensuring that all content is tailored to the respective platforms. Additionally, the consultant may be required to attend workshops to capture footage and conduct interviews, and will provide support for the distribution of the produced materials. The consultant must ensure that all outputs are copyright and royalty-free and that all necessary waivers and releases are obtained.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communications, journalism, graphic design, ocean affairs, sustainable development, environment, or a related field. A first-level university degree in similar fields combined with relevant work experience may be accepted. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications is required, along with experience in developing communication products related to ocean affairs, environmental issues, or sustainable development. Desired qualifications include knowledge of effective media communication theories and concepts, a strategic and creative mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive subjects diplomatically. Applicants must provide examples of previous projects demonstrating their expertise in social media content creation.

Additional Notes: The consultancy contract is valued at US$ 11,400, paid in two installments. The initial payment of US$ 3,800 is due upon positive assessment of the content plan, concept, and script, while the second payment of US$ 7,600 is due upon positive assessment of the two social media carousels and the video. Individuals currently in active government service, including employees of institutions under direct government management, are not eligible for selection.
