Job Overview: The Operations Analyst position within the MAS Global Analytics unit at IFC is designed to provide critical informational and analytical support to various teams within the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services (MAS) Industry Group. The role involves tracking and reporting on investment activities, new business pipelines, and performance metrics. The Operations Analyst will also play a key role in supporting knowledge management and learning (KM&L) activities, which include the development and dissemination of knowledge products and organizing learning events. This position is pivotal in ensuring that data-driven insights are effectively communicated to management and stakeholders, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning within the organization. The Operations Analyst will be expected to work collaboratively with various teams, ensuring that data integrity and quality are maintained across all reporting and analytical functions.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
Providing informational and analytical support by extracting data from IFC management information systems (MIS) and preparing materials, tools, and dashboards for regular analyses and presentations to MAS management and staff.
Supporting coordination with IFC’s Corporate Portfolio Management and Corporate Analytics and Reporting on corporate-wide initiatives, including new business pipeline tracking and program KPI evaluations.
Preparing, updating, and uploading reports and tools generated by the MAS Global Analytics unit to SharePoint, while maintaining periodic data quality checks.
Updating and maintaining various dashboards related to MAS activities and resolving data quality issues.
Addressing ad-hoc information requests from various directors and teams, performing research and data analysis as needed.
Supporting KM&L activities by developing and disseminating knowledge products and organizing learning events.
Maintaining and updating the internal MAS Knowledge Assets database and generating related reports.
Developing and delivering training sessions related to MAS portfolio data and resources as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in reporting, analytics, and data management. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is essential, along with the ability to learn new applications and systems quickly. Experience with AI-enabled tools is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Educational Background: The educational requirements for this position include a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Knowledge Management, or Business Administration.
