Job Overview: The Consultant IT Specialist will play a crucial role in the implementation of an e-governance tool aimed at enhancing Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) in India. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including government ministries, to develop and strengthen the e-governance tool. Duties and Responsibilities: The Consultant IT Specialist will undertake a variety of tasks including: developing a comprehensive plan for the e-governance tool's life cycle, designing and strengthening the layout of the tool, translating data into user-friendly formats, managing dashboards for ministries and states, ensuring compatibility with national e-government portals, and supporting the effective rollout of the tool. The specialist will also be responsible for conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring legal compliance, and developing risk management strategies. Additionally, the Consultant will draft reports on program activities and may be assigned other duties as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's Degree or equivalent in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or Web Design. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in web design and development is required, along with a strong command of various web development technologies and tools. Experience in social issues, particularly gender concerns, and familiarity with government functioning are also essential. Proficiency in content management systems and web programming languages is necessary for this role.
