Job Overview: The Cleaner position is essential for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment within the office and other designated areas. The primary responsibilities include ensuring that all workspaces are clean and organized, which is crucial for the overall productivity and well-being of the staff. The Cleaner will be responsible for daily tasks such as sweeping and washing floors, dusting surfaces, and cleaning restrooms and kitchen areas. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. The Cleaner will also be responsible for managing cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance needs to the line manager. This position is vital for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for both staff and visitors, and it plays a key role in supporting the overall mission of DRC in Lebanon.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Cleaner will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, which include:
Sweeping the floors and stairs every morning while ensuring that electrical equipment is not damaged.
Washing the floors, stairs, and other areas thoroughly at least twice a week.
Dusting desks, walls, and cupboards daily, taking care not to damage office equipment.
Cleaning office sinks and toilets once a day.
Clearing and disposing of rubbish from the office at least once a day.
Keeping the kitchen clean at all times, including cleaning the inside of the fridge once a week.
Informing the line manager of any repairs or replacements needed for maintenance equipment.
Cleaning the guest house as requested, which includes vacuuming, washing floors, and cleaning the kitchen and bathroom.
Completing all cleaning tasks according to the attached cleaning checklist. 1
Monthly planning for the procurement of all cleaning items, such as cleaning fluids, garbage bags, soap, and toilet paper, to be submitted to the line manager. 1
Preparing tea or coffee for official meetings and occasions.
