Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position is part of the Learning Passport initiative, which aims to provide uninterrupted education for children affected by crises. Volunteers will play a crucial role in adapting existing educational materials into digital formats suitable for the Learning Passport platform. This involves transforming Word documents into engaging digital courses and creating evaluations to assess the effectiveness of these courses. Duties and Responsibilities:
Adapt 10 existing Word documents (1-10 pages each) into digital courses for the Learning Passport platform.
Develop 10 pre- and post-course evaluations with straightforward questions to measure course effectiveness and track learning outcomes.
Collaborate with the Learning Passport team to ensure that the digital content aligns with educational goals and meets the needs of learners.
Utilize relevant resources and materials to enhance the quality of the digital courses.
Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on the development process.
Contribute ideas for improving the Learning Passport initiative and its impact on education in emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of educational content development and digital learning methodologies.
Proficiency in using digital tools for content creation and adaptation.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Familiarity with educational evaluation methods and assessment design.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
A passion for education and a commitment to supporting children and youth in crisis situations.
Educational Background: A background in education, instructional design, digital media, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience in developing educational materials or courses, particularly in digital formats. Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and values is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in educational content development, instructional design, or related fields is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of creating engaging learning materials and evaluating educational programs. Experience working with children or in crisis situations is an advantage.
