Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer involves developing visual materials that illustrate various forms of discrimination that are prevalent in Moldovan society. The selected volunteers will work under the guidance of a Human Rights Officer and will be tasked with creating up to five digital illustrations each. These illustrations will depict discrimination faced by different groups in areas such as employment, education, and access to public services. The goal is to raise public awareness about the importance of promoting equality and non-discrimination, and the illustrations will be utilized in exhibitions, educational events, and on branded products. This role is crucial in supporting the UN Human Rights Office's efforts to highlight discrimination issues and promote human rights principles through creative means.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Human Rights Officer to understand the specific themes and messages to be conveyed through the illustrations.
• Develop up to five digital illustrations that effectively depict various forms of discrimination faced by different groups in Moldova.
• Ensure that the illustrations are culturally sensitive and accurately represent the issues at hand.
• Submit the illustrations for review and incorporate feedback from the Human Rights Officer.
• Maintain communication with the UN Human Rights Office throughout the project to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide mandatory attribution for the illustrations, allowing the UN Human Rights Office to use them for educational and informational purposes.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in digital illustration tools and software.
• Strong understanding of human rights issues, particularly related to discrimination and minority rights.
• Ability to convey complex social issues through visual art.
• Creativity and originality in developing illustrations that resonate with the target audience.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the Human Rights Officer and other team members.

Educational Background:
A background in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience or coursework that demonstrates their ability to create impactful visual content.

Experience:
Previous experience in creating illustrations or visual content, particularly related to social issues or human rights, is highly desirable. Volunteers should have a portfolio showcasing their previous work in digital illustration.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as all communications and submissions will be conducted in this language. Knowledge of Romanian or Russian would be an asset, as it may enhance the understanding of local contexts and issues.

This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the commitment is flexible based on the project needs. The role is remote, allowing volunteers to work from anywhere.
