Job Overview: The UN Volunteer - Team Leader position involves overseeing daily activities of enumerators engaged in data collection related to migration management in Turkey. The role requires close collaboration with the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) and entails reporting directly to IOM’s Senior Project Associate and Field Coordinator. The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring adherence to data collection protocols, assigning locations to enumerators, and monitoring their progress. This position also includes conducting quantitative and qualitative interviews with individuals from both host and migrant communities, supervising the data collection process, and providing real-time feedback to enumerators regarding data quality. The Team Leader will maintain communication with community members and local authorities to facilitate access to the field and coordination of activities. Additionally, the UN Volunteer is encouraged to engage in activities that promote volunteerism and contribute to the UN Volunteers programme mandate.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the UN Volunteer - Team Leader include:
Overseeing the daily activities of enumerators to ensure compliance with data collection protocols and schedules.
Assigning specific locations to enumerators and monitoring their progress throughout the data collection process.
Conducting both quantitative and qualitative interviews in the field with individuals from host and migrant communities.
Supervising and being accountable for the data collection process performed by enumerators within the designated province.
Providing real-time feedback and guidance to enumerators on issues related to data quality.
Conducting field visits alongside Project Associates to ensure effective data collection.
Utilizing established mobile data collection tools for efficient data gathering.
Submitting daily updates on progress, challenges, and observations to the direct supervisor.
Maintaining liaison with community members and local authorities to facilitate access to the field and coordination of activities. 1
Performing any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor as necessary.

Additional Notes: This is a volunteer assignment, not an employment position. The UN Volunteer will receive a Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) of USD 968, which will be paid in Turkish Lira. The position includes private health, dental, life, and dismemberment insurance coverage through CIGNA. It is important to note that the allowances provided are not to be interpreted as a salary or compensation for volunteer work. The UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials.
