Job Overview: The Monitoring and ReportingAnalyst will play a crucial role in the implementation of the project 'Strengthening of Productive Units led by Women with a Gender approach in Bolivia,' funded by KOICA. This position involves monitoring and reporting on project activities, providing technical support for the implementation of the Country Office strategic note, and ensuring that the objectives set by UN Women in the Economic Empowerment Area are met. The analyst will be responsible for developing monitoring indicators, calendars, and plans, as well as conducting evaluations and drafting reports that align with KOICA's requirements. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data collection and analysis are standardized, and to support the overall monitoring and evaluation framework of the project. The incumbent will also contribute to knowledge building and capacity development within the organization and among partners, promoting awareness of monitoring and evaluation responsibilities across all staff members.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Monitoring and Reporting Analyst include: facilitating the incorporation of monitoring and reporting into the project; developing monitoring indicators and plans; leading the creation of baselines, studies, and project tracking plans; providing technical support to partners in developing Performance Monitoring Frameworks; monitoring project expenditures and disbursements; conducting reporting based on a results-based management approach; drafting narrative project reports; coordinating with the Women Economic Empowerment area for standardized data collection; monitoring data from partners; contributing to the CO Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Plan; supporting the preparation of analytical documents and presentations; identifying and disseminating good practices; facilitating capacity building opportunities; and performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Monitoring and Reporting Analyst position include a strong understanding of program formulation, implementation, and results-based management. Candidates should possess knowledge of public policy and development planning, as well as monitoring and evaluation methodologies. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to synthesize program performance data and produce analytical reports. Proficiency in office software packages and web-based management systems is required, and familiarity with UN program management systems is an asset. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to organize information effectively.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Political Science, Social Science, Economics, International Development Studies, or Gender/Women's Studies. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A certification in Project/Programme management, such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®, is considered an added advantage.
Experience: The position requires at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in monitoring and reporting on development projects or programs. Experience with office software packages, spreadsheet and database management, and web-based management systems is essential. Familiarity with a modern web-based ERP system, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable. Experience within the United Nations system is an asset, and field experience is also beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, and working knowledge of Spanish is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (such as French, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is considered desirable.
