Job Overview:
The role of the Partnership Management Focal Point for Project Finance is crucial in ensuring the timely preparation of partners' budgets for new project proposals and budget revisions. This position involves effective review of partner financial reports and support during the audit process for various projects, ensuring compliance with both donor and DRC policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partnership Management: Build and strengthen the capacity of partners in financial management through regular training and capacity-building initiatives. Conduct financial monitoring visits to ensure compliance with donor requirements. Provide financial and donor compliance training as needed.
  • Installment Follow-up: Track installments and ensure timely submission of requests to partners, adjusting expenditures based on agreements.
  • External Contacts: Collaborate closely with program teams on cash distributions, participating in limited field travel as necessary. Ensure timely documentation of payments to suppliers and partners.
  • Documentation/Vouchers: Ensure completeness of finance supporting documents, work with field offices for timely payments, and maintain updated records on shared drives. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance-related positions, particularly with a focus on partnership management. At least 3 years of experience working with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) is required. Proven experience in managing financial aspects of projects funded by humanitarian donors is essential, along with a solid understanding of financial compliance and procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.

Educational Background:
