Job Overview:
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Women, Peace and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (WPS) Team and the Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) project. This position involves incorporating monitoring, evaluation, and reporting into WPS project formulation, tracking progress against project targets, and reporting results to both internal and external audiences. The officer will work closely with the WPS Programme Specialist and the Programme Coordinator of the WPHF, while also coordinating with the Monitoring and Reporting Analyst of UN Women Philippines. The role is essential for ensuring that the WPS and WPHF initiatives are effectively monitored and evaluated, contributing to the overall success of the programs aimed at empowering women in conflict-affected areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and contribute to the incorporation of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting into WPS project formulation, including the development of monitoring indicators and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of results against WPS-HA targets and UN Women Strategic Plan, ensuring standardized data collection and analysis.
  • Write reports on WPS and WPHF results for internal and external audiences, including donor reports and success stories.
  • Provide technical support to the WPHF project team in implementing the UN Women Evaluation Policy, ensuring effective communication regarding evaluations.
  • Support knowledge sharing and capacity building among WPHF partners, promoting awareness of monitoring and evaluation responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Political or Social Science, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Gender/Women's Studies, or a closely related field. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) is advantageous, and familiarity with GIS is also a plus.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in a relevant field is required, with a first-level university degree accepted if accompanied by additional qualifying experience. Certifications in project management are beneficial, and knowledge of GIS is an asset.

Experience:
At least one year of relevant experience at the national or international level in monitoring and reporting of projects/programmes related to gender and/or peace and development is required. Experience in applying results-based management principles in monitoring and reporting is essential, and familiarity with the United Nations systems is desirable. Field experience and experience in gender-responsive monitoring and evaluation are also advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Filipino is mandatory. Knowledge of a BARMM language or dialect is considered an asset.
