Job Overview: The Business Support Assistant position at WFP's China Office in Beijing is designed to deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities specifically for the Private Partnerships area of work. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Business Support Assistant include, but are not limited to:
Collating information for reports, documents, and correspondence to support the work of other staff.
Responding to standard queries and providing timely and accurate guidance.
Processing and managing routine administrative and financial tasks across various functional areas.
Managing and maintaining records and databases to ensure information is organized and readily available.
Maintaining relationships with individuals to assist in information sharing and service delivery.
Proofreading reports and documentation, making necessary changes in line with established guidelines.
Contributing to the improvement of business procedures and processes.
Providing guidance to junior colleagues in their duties. 1
Assisting in implementing Individual Fundraising Campaigns aimed at raising awareness and funds from private sector and individual donors. 1
Supporting the establishment and management of private sector partnerships for the WFP China Office. 1
Monitoring media releases related to current private sector partners. 1
Preparing documents for meetings with partners and potential partners. 1
Assisting in the development of new strategies to secure and steward private sector partners and donors. 1
Conducting market research and providing data analysis to support the development of private sector partnerships and identify future prospects.
Required Qualifications: The position requires the following qualifications:
Completion of a university degree in a relevant area is mandatory.
Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relevant business stream, particularly in general administrative work.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse range of individuals to provide high-quality support services.
Strong communication skills to effectively give and receive information.
Ability to carry out basic data analysis and independently resolve problems.
Experience in monitoring and recording financial transactions is essential.
Knowledge of specialized common business practices and methods is required.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed a university degree in a relevant field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary theoretical knowledge and understanding of business practices that will be applied in the role.
