Job Overview:
The position of Graphic Designer for the Local Campaign of the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations involves creating a local identity that resonates with the Panamanian context. The designer will be responsible for developing a detailed graphic proposal that includes color management, typography, iconography, and visual elements suitable for various social media platforms. The role requires the designer to produce templates for static images and video formats that align with the approved local identity for the campaign. The expected duration of this consultancy is 30 days, during which the designer will need to maintain close communication with the Chief of Office and the Communications Officer for feedback and approvals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary objective of this consultancy is to create a local identity for the 80th Anniversary campaign of the United Nations. This includes: - Developing a detailed graphic proposal that adapts the global identity of the 80th Anniversary to a Panamanian context, including color management, typography, iconography, and visual elements for use across various social media platforms. - Designing templates for six (6) static images adapted to the 80th Anniversary campaign. - Designing two (2) video formats adapted to the 80th Anniversary campaign. The designer commits to performing up to three (3) rounds of corrections based on feedback provided. The final product must be delivered in an editable version with incorporated corrections within 10 days of receiving feedback for adjustments. Close communication with the Chief of Office and the Communications Officer is required for proposal review, corrections, and final approval prior to delivery.

Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree (university degree or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related field is required. If the candidate has studies in an unrelated area, they must have at least 10 years of experience working and/or leading projects as a graphic designer. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience working as a graphic designer, either independently or for a company, NGO, or similar is required. Proven experience in designing and laying out publications for print is desirable. Proven experience in designing and laying out publications for online management is desirable. Proven experience in designing infographics is desirable, and candidates should submit examples. Previous experience working with United Nations agencies is desirable.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related field is essential for this position. Candidates with degrees in other fields must demonstrate significant experience in graphic design to qualify.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience working as a graphic designer, either independently or for an organization. Additionally, candidates with 10 years of experience in related projects will be considered favorably, especially if they have worked with United Nations agencies.

Languages:
Fluent Spanish is mandatory, and knowledge of English is also required. Proficiency in both languages will enhance communication and collaboration within the UN framework.
