Job Overview:

The intern will engage with initiatives that involve the UN group working with indigenous communities, which is crucial for fostering inclusive development. Additionally, the intern will assist in researching and developing innovative financing tools, such as bulletins and concept notes, which are essential for effective resource mobilization. The role also includes supporting consultations for the Country Analysis Action plan, aimed at enhancing resource mobilization strategies for the pooled fund. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing and systematizing interagency and multistakeholder meetings to enhance cooperation among UN agencies and local stakeholders.
  • Support the development of innovative financing tools, including bulletins and concept notes, to facilitate resource mobilization efforts.
  • Participate in consultations for the Country Analysis Action plan, contributing insights and research to strengthen the action plan's effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather data and information relevant to the initiatives involving indigenous communities.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to ensure that their perspectives and needs are considered in the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Document meeting outcomes and prepare reports that summarize discussions and action points.
  • Conduct research on best practices and innovative approaches in financing and resource mobilization within the context of UN initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the intern will be working primarily in a Spanish-speaking environment. Additionally, a good knowledge of English is required to facilitate communication with international colleagues and stakeholders. The intern should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Proficiency in research and writing is also essential, as the role involves preparing documents and reports.

Educational Background:
Candidates for this internship should be enrolled in a graduate or postgraduate program in a relevant field such as international relations, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline. Alternatively, recent graduates who have completed their studies within the last year may also be considered.
