Job Overview:
The role of the Volunteer Website Developer is crucial for enhancing the organization's digital presence and outreach capabilities. The primary function of this position is to support the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's website, which serves as a vital communication platform for stakeholders, donors, partners, and beneficiaries. The website is intended to reflect the organization's mission, programs, and impact, and the volunteer will play a key role in improving its design, structure, and functionality. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Volunteer Website Developer will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Website Development & Design: Collaborating with the Communications/IT Team to design and develop a user-friendly website that aligns with the organization's branding and programmatic updates.
• Technical Integration: Integrating essential tools and functionalities into the website, such as mailing lists, contact forms, and donation options.
• Security & Backups: Ensuring the website's security and implementing regular backup procedures to protect data and maintain website integrity.
• Content Management: Assisting in the organization and updating of website content to ensure it remains relevant and engaging for visitors.
• Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, content writers, and other online volunteers to ensure cohesive communication and project alignment.
• Regular Updates: Providing progress updates to the team through email or project management tools, and participating in virtual meetings for project discussions and feedback.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Volunteer Website Developer position should possess a strong understanding of web development principles and practices. Required qualifications include:

• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Wix.
• Familiarity with web design principles and user experience (UX) best practices.
• Knowledge of SEO and web security standards.
