Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) focuses on the Finance and Master Data Management department. This role is designed for talented students and recent graduates to gain professional experience while aligning with UNICEF's core values. Interns will engage with various business processes, enhancing their analytical and transactional skills, and will participate in project work while supporting senior colleagues. The position involves learning about UNICEF's mission and programs, as well as contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Finance and MDM team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will assist with data collection, maintenance, and analysis of standard monthly reports using tools like SAP and Power BI. They will support HR-related administrative tasks, including recruitment coordination and interview scheduling, and contribute to HR analysis and statistics for the Finance department. The role also includes facilitating internal communications, organizing meetings, and preparing presentations. Interns will support Finance teams with data formatting, transactional testing, and analytical reporting, as well as manage documents on SharePoint. Additional ad hoc tasks and administrative support will be required as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s program or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the past year in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, and familiarity with tools such as Power BI or SQL is considered an asset. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources are essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being enrolled in a Master’s program or having recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Economics. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of the tasks involved in the internship.

Experience:
The position is aimed at students or recent graduates, thus requiring minimal professional experience. However, any prior internships or relevant experience in finance, human resources, or administrative roles would be beneficial and enhance a candidate's application.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, which can further enhance communication and collaboration within the diverse environment of UNICEF.

Additional Notes:
The internship is open to nationals of Hungary or other EU/Schengen countries, or individuals with a valid long-term Hungarian residency and work permit. Temporary or sponsored visas are not accepted. Interns must provide proof of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and have their own medical insurance for the duration of the internship. The selected candidate must be physically present in Budapest, with flexible working arrangements allowing for a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 days of remote work. The internship is paid with a stipend of net HUF 405,941 per month for full-time arrangements, prorated for part-time interns. Interns may take up to 2.5 days off per month for any reason, with stipends adjusted for absences beyond this quota.
