The organization's mission is to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all, ensuring that the rights of migrants are respected and upheld. IOM's Protection Division (PXD) specifically focuses on reducing protection risks for individuals in vulnerable situations, addressing threats and vulnerabilities while enhancing the capacities of individuals and communities. The organization is dedicated to creating a society where individual and group rights are recognized and upheld, providing assistance that meets immediate, medium, and long-term needs.
Job Overview: The Reintegration Project Assistant will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) program, which aims to support vulnerable migrants and returnees. Under the guidance of the AVRR Coordinator and direct supervision of the Senior Project Associate, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the program, ensuring compliance with IOM's policies and standard operating procedures. The role involves extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to facilitate project implementation, manage administrative tasks, and maintain positive relationships with national and local NGOs. The assistant will also be involved in monitoring reintegration plans and collecting data on provided assistance, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the AVRR program.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Reintegration Project Assistant include assisting in the implementation of AVRR program activities, coordinating legal, technical, and operational aspects of projects, and acting as a focal point for administrative coordination. The incumbent will liaise with relevant stakeholders, including Moldovan authorities, to explore reintegration options for returnees. They will receive referrals of AVRR cases and coordinate further assistance with internal and external stakeholders. The assistant will also maintain databases on assisted cases, draft reports, and support the organization of capacity-building activities. Additional responsibilities include undertaking duty travel as assigned and performing other duties as may be required.

Experience with IOM internal procedures and familiarity with migration-related subject areas, especially concerning return and reintegration processes, is highly desirable.
