Job Overview: The position of Senior Private Sector Integrity Consultant is crucial for enhancing the integrity and accountability of private sector operations within Lebanon. The consultant will be tasked with assessing current practices, identifying gaps in integrity frameworks, and providing strategic recommendations to improve compliance and ethical standards in the private sector. This role requires a deep understanding of both local and international integrity standards and practices, as well as the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including government entities, private companies, and civil society organizations. The consultant will work closely with the UNDP team to ensure that the private sector aligns with national and international integrity norms, thereby fostering a more transparent and accountable business environment in Lebanon.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing private sector integrity frameworks in Lebanon.
Identify key areas for improvement and develop tailored recommendations for enhancing integrity practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement integrity training programs for private sector entities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented integrity measures and provide ongoing support to ensure compliance.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for UNDP and relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to promote awareness and understanding of integrity issues among private sector actors.
Stay updated on global best practices in private sector integrity and adapt them to the local context.
Provide expert advice on policy development related to private sector integrity.
Required Qualifications:
Proven expertise in private sector integrity, compliance, and governance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with international integrity standards and frameworks, such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Global Compact.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in compliance, ethics, or governance will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in private sector integrity, compliance, or governance is required. Experience working with international organizations or development agencies is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully implementing integrity initiatives in the private sector will be an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders. Knowledge of French is a plus but not required.
Additional Notes: The contract duration for this position is 65 working days, spread over a period of 13 weeks. This is a consultancy role, and the consultant will be expected to work on a full-time basis during the assignment. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
