Job Overview:
The Deputy Project Director will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Director in the overall management and technical direction of the EpiC project, which aims to enhance HIV service delivery in Myanmar. This position involves the development and implementation of project strategies, ensuring effective subaward management, and engaging with various stakeholders to improve HIV case-finding, prevention, and treatment programming. The Deputy Project Director will also be responsible for overseeing the execution of the workplan, monitoring progress towards targets, and providing technical guidance to implementing partners. This role requires a strong understanding of HIV programming and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and community-based organizations, to achieve project goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Deputy Project Director will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: supporting the Project Director in developing program descriptions, implementation plans, and annual workplans; coordinating with other USG-funded initiatives to enhance HIV programming quality; participating in national and sub-national HIV technical working groups; serving as a liaison to FHI 360 EpiC HQ and donor agencies; providing day-to-day technical and management support to the EpiC Myanmar project; overseeing selected activity areas and providing guidance to implementing partners; supporting team management and development; coordinating with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders; contributing to advocacy efforts for high-risk populations; overseeing the Strategic Information team for data collection and analysis; and performing other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Public Health or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. This experience should include oversight in areas such as subaward management, HIV testing services, ART, outreach, peer navigation, differentiated service delivery, and monitoring and evaluation of HIV programs. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate progressively increasing responsibility in designing and managing HIV and community-led programs, particularly those involving high-risk populations and multiple stakeholders in Myanmar. Strong knowledge of data analysis and data-driven decision-making in HIV programs is essential, as well as the ability to establish productive working relationships with a wide network of partners.

Educational Background:
A Master's Degree in Public Health or a related field is required for this position. This educational background should provide the candidate with a solid foundation in public health principles, program management, and the specific challenges associated with HIV service delivery.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in the field, with a focus on HIV programming and community-led initiatives. Experience in managing programs funded by USAID and PEPFAR is preferred, as well as familiarity with the specific contexts of Yangon, Mandalay, Kachin, and Sagaing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibility in design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, implementation, and management.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills. An advanced level of Burmese is strongly preferred, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and communities.

This position is a short-term contract role, expected to last until December 2025, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and funding availability. The role is based in Yangon, Myanmar, and is considered full-time.
