Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst position at UN Women is designed to provide surge support in coordination, communication, and technical assistance to the Deputy director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Executive Director (DED) and Assistant Secretary-General (ASG) for Resource Management, UN System Coordination, Sustainability, and Partnerships. The role involves supporting the DED/ASG in implementing corporate priorities and managing interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. The Programme Analyst will assist in various administrative and logistical tasks, including managing the DED/ASG's agenda, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing communication materials. This temporary appointment is for a duration of three months, with the possibility of extension, and is crucial for ensuring the efficient functioning of the Office and the organization as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive communication support to the ASG/DED, including preparing social media assets to enhance the visibility of UN Women’s work and engagements. The role requires drafting communications and social media documents, coordinating video recordings for official engagements, and managing the ASG/DED’s agenda by scheduling meetings and preparing briefing notes. The incumbent will evaluate important events requiring the ASG/DED’s presence and provide coordination support for official travel, ensuring timely preparation of travel files and reports. Additionally, the Programme Analyst will identify and prepare briefing materials for the ASG/DED, manage internal knowledge databases, and follow up on meetings and corporate initiatives, ensuring that all documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong writing, organizational, and planning skills, along with good research and analytical abilities. A solid understanding of communications, partnership development, and outreach is essential. The ability to foster teamwork and establish harmonious working relationships in a multicultural environment is crucial. Candidates should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail. Familiarity with the UN structure and values is considered an asset, and high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in gender equality issues, political affairs, international relations, social sciences, communications, journalism, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
At least two years of progressively responsible experience in communication, event coordination, partnerships, or a related field is required. Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment communications and partnerships is desirable, as is experience providing substantive support within an Executive Office setting in an international organization.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is desirable and can enhance a candidate's profile.
