Job Overview: The Movers4Climate initiative is a flagship program by UNDP China aimed at empowering young climate leaders to advocate for and implement climate action initiatives through volunteer service in rural areas. Duties and Responsibilities: Online Volunteers are expected to fully participate in the Movers4Climate project cycle. This includes attending all four online training sessions focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Climate Action (SDG 13), Life Below Water (SDG 14), and Life on Land (SDG 15). Volunteers must apply for specific volunteering assignments and complete the required training sessions to develop their skills and training plan for Movers4Climate. Selected candidates will actively participate in the full project cycle, develop community training materials, and support online rural teaching activities aimed at training over 150 adolescents in rural areas, particularly in the mid and western regions of China.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to climate action and sustainable development. They should possess strong communication skills, be able to work collaboratively in a team, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals and experience in community engagement or education would be advantageous.
