Job Overview:
The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting (PMR) - RMS Support Consultant will work closely with the PMR Unit, providing essential support in the development, monitoring, and reporting of multi-year plans and work plans. The consultant will assist in organizing planning-related meetings, workshops, and webinars, ensuring compliance with UN Women rules and regulations. This role involves providing technical advice and navigation for the online Result Management System (RMS), facilitating timely approvals for business plans, and liaising with HQ units to resolve RMS-related issues. The consultant will also support monitoring and reporting efforts, reviewing reports, and providing technical feedback to ensure effective management oversight. Overall, the consultant will play a vital role in enhancing the planning and reporting processes within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the PMR Unit in various capacities, including organizing planning-related meetings and workshops, facilitating reviews of multi-year business plans, and providing technical assistance to ensure compliance with relevant guidance notes. The consultant will assist in navigating the RMS for colleagues, provide technical advice for users, and liaise with HQ units to resolve any issues. Additionally, the consultant will support the review of monitoring and annual reports, help organize dialogues between the Regional Director and country offices, and provide feedback on new project documents. The consultant will also assist in preparing reports, talking points, and other materials as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, or a relevant field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. At least 2 years of work experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting within international organizations or NGOs is required. Familiarity with online systems for planning and reporting is essential, and experience with the UN Women RMS is an asset. A certificate in project management is considered a plus, and candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, Development, or Public Administration is required. Candidates with a first-level university degree and additional qualifying experience may also be considered. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender equality and women's empowerment issues that the consultant will be addressing.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of relevant work experience in supporting planning, monitoring, and reporting within international organizations or NGOs. Candidates should have experience using online systems for these processes, and familiarity with the UN Women RMS is highly desirable. Experience working in a UN context or similar international organization is preferred, as it provides valuable insights into the operational framework and challenges faced in this field.

Languages:
Proficiency in the English language is mandatory for this position.
