Job Overview:
The Vehicle Maintenance Technician position at WFP involves ensuring the operational efficiency of vehicles and equipment critical to the organization's logistics and transport operations. The technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy-duty vehicles, generators, and other transport equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on WFP vehicles, generators, and other transport equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Input and manage data in the Fleet Management System (FMS), ensuring accuracy in fuel consumption, travel logs, and work orders.
• Generate regular reports on vehicle maintenance activities, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
• Carry out periodic inspections and diagnostics on vehicles and equipment to assess their mechanical condition and functionality.
• Address breakdowns and repairs for vehicles used in field missions, minimizing the risk of further damage and ensuring operational safety.
• Install and maintain advanced communication equipment in WFP vehicles, such as VHF radios and satellite tracking systems.
• Document all mechanical work performed, including any manufacturing defects encountered during repairs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, supplemented by a technical training program in automotive maintenance or relevant mechanical/technical training.
