Job Overview:
The UNV Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role within UNICEF's Partnerships Team, which is responsible for resource mobilization and partnerships management for public sector partners. This position involves creating tailored donor profiles for the region, conducting financial analyses of income trends, and performing research on engagement strategies. The officer will support country offices in their resource mobilization efforts and assist in drafting communication materials in collaboration with the Communication and Advocacy Team. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge management and preparing documentation for UNICEF leadership meetings with partners. The UNV Partnerships Officer is expected to integrate the UN Volunteers program mandate into their work, promoting voluntary action and engaging with communities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The UNV Partnerships Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Creating detailed donor profiles tailored to the region's needs.
  • Conducting financial analyses to identify income trends and opportunities for resource mobilization.
  • Performing ad hoc research on engagement strategies to enhance partnerships.
  • Providing support to country offices in their resource mobilization efforts and partnerships engagement.
  • Drafting communication materials in coordination with the Communication and Advocacy Team and Programme Sections.
  • Assisting in the preparation of briefing notes, reports, and other documentation required for meetings with partners.
  • Engaging in activities that promote volunteerism and community engagement, including participating in UNV events and contributing to publications.
  • Conducting in-depth research and analyses of resource mobilization activities and funding trends.
  • Identifying and reviewing resource mobilization opportunities and preparing related communication materials. 1
  • Ensuring efficient workflow within the section and applying an Age, Gender, and Diversity (AGD) perspective in all activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the UNV Partnerships Officer position should possess a strong understanding of UNICEF's operations and technical capabilities. They should demonstrate discretion, political sensitivity, and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders, particularly in senior positions. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of autonomy, personal initiative, and the ability to manage information confidentially and accurately. A client-oriented approach and the ability to work independently under established procedures are essential. Educational Background:

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in resource mobilization, partnerships management, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or in a similar context is highly desirable. Languages:

This is a national UN Volunteer assignment, and the selected candidate will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. National UN Volunteers are covered under a malicious insurance plan. The position may involve travel within the area of operations and requires adaptability to potentially challenging living conditions. The role is full-time, and candidates should be prepared to engage actively with communities and promote volunteerism as part of their responsibilities.
