Job Overview:
The Tech Volunteer position is designed for individuals with a passion for technology and education. Volunteers will contribute their skills in software development, IT, marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing, or web design to support a campaign that promotes reading, digital literacy, responsible social media usage, and arts education. The role involves creating engaging content that appeals to youth and adults, with the goal of fostering a culture of learning and self-care through the arts. Volunteers will also help facilitate Zoom classes that integrate these themes, ensuring that the content is accessible and impactful for the target audience. The campaign aims to utilize various social media platforms to reach a wider audience and promote the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including animated videos, graphics, and original posts that promote reading, digital literacy, and arts education.
• Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to develop strategies for effective outreach and engagement with the target audience.
• Assist in setting up and facilitating Zoom sessions for art education and art therapy exercises.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of social media campaigns to assess their impact and effectiveness.
• Ensure that all content aligns with the organization's mission and values, maintaining a professional and positive online presence.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for content and outreach initiatives.
• Engage with followers and respond to inquiries on social media platforms to foster community interaction.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong skills in one or more of the following areas: software development, IT, digital marketing, or web design.
• Experience with content creation and social media management.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group projects.
• A passion for education, literacy, and the arts, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Educational Background:
A background in technology, education, digital marketing, or a related field is preferred. However, individuals with relevant skills and experience will also be considered, regardless of formal educational qualifications. A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in content creation or digital marketing will be advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in volunteer roles or projects related to education, technology, or the arts is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Experience working with diverse communities or in international settings is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all content will be created in English. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in Zimbabwe or the region would be beneficial but is not required.
