Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst position at IFC's office in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a dynamic role that involves supporting the Country Manager and the regional team. The successful candidate will engage in research, analytical work, and operational support related to IFC's activities in Ukraine. This role is crucial for the effective functioning of the team, requiring the analyst to collect, organize, and analyze portfolio and pipeline data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. The Operations Analyst will also conduct industry research, monitor policy developments, and assist in project management, contributing to the overall success of IFC's mission in Ukraine. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to various stakeholders, including senior management and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing portfolio and pipeline data to present findings in various formats for different audiences, ensuring high accuracy and consistency. Organizing and preparing regular portfolio and pipeline reviews with industry departments and other internal stakeholders, such as the blended finance department. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of current advisory and investment operations in Ukraine, responding promptly to queries from management and staff. Conducting thorough industry research, synthesizing information from multiple sources to create coherent overviews of specific topics or projects. Mapping and researching the business community in Ukraine, including corporate profiles, analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, and initial due diligence on mapped companies. Drafting clear and concise summaries of reports and research findings as needed for IFC's operations. Monitoring policy developments in Ukraine, including IFI and EU reform frameworks, and preparing briefs on economic policy topics. Assisting in planning and conducting visits by IFC management, contributing to the drafting of briefing materials. Creating visually engaging presentations that effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders. Supporting the Country Team with overall project management, planning, and monitoring of deliverables to ensure timely and quality delivery of the work program. Taking minutes of meetings as required by the Country Team or Senior Management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a reputable university, preferably with a major in economics, business, or finance. A minimum of two years of work experience in banking, consulting, or another fast-paced, knowledge-based environment is required. Experience engaging with the private sector and related stakeholders in Ukraine is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with solid experience in using AI-enabled tools. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent teamwork abilities and the capacity to take initiative and work across organizational boundaries. High energy, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion are also important.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a reputable university, with a preference for candidates who have majored in economics, business, or finance. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of the financial and operational aspects of the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of relevant work experience in banking, consulting, or a similar fast-paced, knowledge-based work environment. Experience working with the private sector and engaging with stakeholders in Ukraine is highly desirable, as it will provide valuable context and understanding of the local market dynamics.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position, as effective communication in both languages is crucial for the role. While additional languages are not specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages could be beneficial in enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.
