The position of Online Volunteers in Graphic Design is integral to the UNV's initiative for the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026, which marks significant anniversaries for the UNV programme. The role involves collaborating with a coalition of partners to create communication materials that will be used for the Global National Dialogues, specifically focusing on strengthening volunteering worldwide. Volunteers will be expected to utilize their graphic design skills to produce visually appealing content that aligns with the objectives of the dialogue sessions. This position not only allows volunteers to apply their creative talents but also to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of volunteering, making it a rewarding experience for those involved.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
  • Creating content that adheres to the suggestions and design recommendations provided by team members.
  • Making design suggestions that enhance the overall quality of the products, such as posters or infographics.
  • Producing original and clean-cut designs for various platforms, including the organization's website, blog, and social media channels.
  • Each volunteer is required to create a minimum of four graphic designs during their assignment.
  • Collaborating effectively with social media management volunteers to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Contributing to the overall goal of raising awareness about the national dialogue session through visually engaging materials.
  • At the conclusion of the assignment, volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation from UNV for their contributions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in graphic design, with proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools. They should have a keen eye for aesthetics and detail, as well as the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate creativity and innovation in their design approach, along with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Educational Background:
A degree or diploma in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with substantial experience and a strong portfolio showcasing their design work may also be considered. Experience:
