Job Overview: The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and management for the Livelihood Component of the Project for Promoting Digital Birth Registration in BARMM. This role involves building collaborative relationships with local stakeholders, local government units (LGUs), and target communities in the provinces of Basilan and Tawi-Tawi. The Project Coordinator will coordinate project implementation, establish effective communication with key project actors, including UNHCR, CFSI, and UNICEF, and serve as a technical resource for livelihood development among the Sama Badjau communities. The position requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that the project aligns with the goals of enhancing economic opportunities for the communities served.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator's duties include facilitating monthly project updates, conducting quarterly implementation assessments, and adjusting plans as necessary. They will accomplish the Project Implementation Tool and coordinate with various departments such as HR, Finance, and Communications to ensure seamless project execution. The Coordinator will regularly identify and manage risks affecting project implementation and monitor the welfare of project staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries. They will establish and maintain relationships with local government officials and community leaders to facilitate project acceptance and cooperation. The Coordinator will also coordinate project activities with other components of the UNHCR project, ensuring alignment and synergy across all efforts. Additionally, they will guide the project team in developing Quick Impact Livelihood Projects and provide technical inputs for community learning sessions aimed at improving livelihoods, particularly in aqua-marine-based economic activities.
