Job Overview:
The Team Assistant/Transaction Specialist position at the World Bank's Peru Country Office is essential for ensuring the efficient execution of financial transactions and administrative processes. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency and financial integrity of the office. The Transaction Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager for strategic oversight, while daily tasks will be supervised by the Finance Analyst. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the Team Assistant/Transaction Specialist include processing all accounting transactions accurately and promptly within the institutional platform, systematically filing relevant documents and invoices according to retention guidelines, and interacting with clients both inside and outside the Bank to ensure timely payments and resolve accounting issues. The role also involves liaising with central payment processing units to address routine issues, strictly following Bank policies to maintain internal controls, running monitoring reports, and assisting in quality assurance reviews and audits. Additionally, the specialist will create Purchase Orders and appointments, assist vendors in the registration process, manage corporate credit card transactions, and record asset data in SAP. The position also entails developing local guidelines, advising staff on institutional policies, handling VAT refund processes, and performing other administrative duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma along with three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong command of both English and Spanish, both orally and in writing, is essential. The ability to work with financial data, interpret policies, and understand the controls framework is crucial. Proficiency in financial/accounting systems, particularly SAP, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, the ability to anticipate needs, and take initiative.
