Job Overview:
The Warehouse Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating activities related to warehouse maintenance and the management of goods receipt, storage handling, monitoring, and dispatch. This position is essential for supporting the delivery of high-quality programming aimed at assisting the poor and vulnerable populations. The Warehouse Coordinator will ensure that goods entrusted to the organization by donors are maintained according to established standards and in compliance with both CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local supply chain accountability standards. The role requires a proactive approach to managing inventory and ensuring that all goods are stored and handled properly to prevent spoilage and damage. The successful candidate will work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient operations, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities to ensure that warehousing and storage facilities, along with all necessary equipment and supplies, are secured and maintained in excellent physical condition. This includes conducting routine daily inspections of commodities to check for signs of infestation and implementing monitoring systems to address any damages or spoilage immediately. The Coordinator will also work with the logistics team to schedule the timely receipt, dispatch, and delivery of goods to distribution points and partners, maintaining up-to-date information on the status of relief goods movement. Responsibilities include overseeing the receipt and dispatch processes, ensuring accurate documentation, planning and supervising the work of casual laborers, and maintaining an efficient inventory stock control system. The Coordinator will file and distribute documents as required and assist in preparing reports related to commodities and goods movements, damage or loss, and warehouse activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA or BSc degree in a related field of study. A minimum of four years of work experience in inventory or warehouse coordination is required, preferably with an international organization. Candidates should have a solid understanding of inventory management and control principles, as well as the ability to manage a manual workforce effectively. Proficiency in the MS Office package, particularly Excel and Word, is essential, and experience with database management systems such as MS Access is considered a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good coordination, prioritization, and time management skills, along with ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics.

Educational Background:
The position requires a BA or BSc degree in a relevant field of study. This educational background is essential for understanding the principles of inventory management and the operational aspects of warehouse coordination.

Experience:
The Warehouse Coordinator should have a minimum of four years of relevant work experience in inventory or warehouse coordination. Experience with international organizations is preferred, as it provides a better understanding of the complexities involved in managing goods and commodities in a humanitarian context. Candidates should also have experience in managing manual labor and coordinating logistics effectively.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Amharic is mandatory for this position. These language skills are essential for effective communication with internal teams, external partners, and local communities. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an advantage but is not required.

This position does not involve travel and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
