Job Overview:
The Warehouse Maintenance Support position is crucial for ensuring the effective management of warehouse activities related to the receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of goods. This role involves maintaining the warehouse facilities to meet established standards and compliance with both organizational and donor regulations. The individual in this position will be responsible for preparing the warehouse for incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring that all processes are documented accurately and in accordance with established protocols. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of inventory management, which is essential for the successful delivery of services to vulnerable populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the maintenance of warehousing/storage facilities by conducting regular inspections and cleaning to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Assist in preparing the warehouse for goods receipt and dispatch, including organizing space and ensuring that all necessary equipment is available.
  • Help with loading and offloading activities, ensuring that goods are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for goods receipt, dispatch, damage, loss, and disposal, ensuring that all records are filed according to established standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Officer.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including PDP managers and logistic staff, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Engage with external partners, drivers, and laborers to facilitate the timely movement of goods.

Required Qualifications:
  • A diploma is required for this position.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of warehouse and inventory management practices are necessary.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is required.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented mindset is crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a diploma in a relevant field. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding warehouse operations and inventory management practices.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in warehouse management or a similar role. This experience should include hands-on involvement in inventory practices and familiarity with the operational aspects of warehousing.

Languages:
