Job Overview:
The Awards, Partnership and Grants Writing Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Relief International's program development efforts in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt). This position is responsible for managing the awards cycle, identifying new funding opportunities, developing partnerships with peer organizations, and writing concept notes and proposals. The manager will also assist the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in maintaining donor relationships to secure funding for new programs. The role requires a dynamic and proactive individual with strong design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and development skills, capable of navigating a fast-paced and demanding environment. The manager will collaborate with program teams and partners to ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal policies, contributing to the successful implementation of funded projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Awards, Partnership and Grants Writing Manager include:
  • Collaborating with Country Office Teams to ensure high-quality program development in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including donors and NGOs, to support programmatic and budgetary monitoring.
  • Addressing compliance challenges and adapting to changing donor regulations.
  • Training and mentoring staff on donor compliance and awards management best practices.
  • Searching for new funding opportunities and maintaining an in-country donor engagement tracker.
  • Leading partnership and consortium development efforts.
  • Writing concept notes and proposals in consultation with the country office team.
  • Ensuring timely submission of accurate donor reports.
  • Providing expert guidance on donor and RI regulations to program teams and partners. 1
  • Supporting the management team with ad hoc requests from authorities and ensuring alignment with donor requirements. 1
  • Facilitating donor spot-checks and verification missions. 1
  • Ensuring partners adhere to RI’s policies and procedures throughout the project duration.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master’s degree in International Development or a related field, although this is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must have at least five years of experience working with an international NGO, with a minimum of three years directly involved in program, proposal, or business development. Experience with funding from EU, US Government, and UN Agencies is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize responsibilities, and excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in International Development or a related field. While this is preferred, it is not strictly required. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training relevant to program development, grants management, and partnership building.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience working with international NGOs, with at least three years focused on program or proposal development. Experience with major donors such as the EU, US Government, and UN Agencies is crucial. The role demands a candidate who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can manage competing deadlines effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not explicitly required for this position.
