Job Overview:
The Programme Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the ILO's initiative aimed at addressing the challenges posed by the informal economy in Armenia, particularly in light of the ongoing refugee crisis. This position involves working under the direct supervision of the National Project Coordinator and collaborating with various specialists within the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team. The assistant is responsible for managing financial transactions, providing administrative support, and ensuring compliance with ILO rules and regulations. The role requires effective coordination with colleagues and stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of the initiative, which focuses on capacity building, policy development, and extending labor protections to vulnerable groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Administrative Assistant will serve as the focal point for the administration of the initiative's implementation. Key responsibilities include liaising with administrative and program staff, initiating requests, processing administrative actions, and providing general office management assistance. The assistant will support initiative-related missions by preparing budgets, coordinating travel and lodging for officials, and managing recruitment and payments for resource persons. Additionally, the role involves compiling background information for meetings, maintaining financial oversight of projects, drafting correspondence, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. The assistant will also arrange meetings, take notes, provide informal interpretation and translation, and perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary school education and possess at least five years of relevant work experience. Familiarity with Oracle-based operating systems is considered an advantage. The role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Reader. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage a heavy workload, and adapt to changing demands while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in their work.

Educational Background:
