Job Overview:
The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for steering the logistical and supply activities of the mission to ensure that Solidarités International's in-country programs operate smoothly. This role involves implementing mission procedures and logistical tools, ensuring adherence to these protocols, and participating in defining the mission strategy. The Logistic Coordinator will also assist in project development and resource assessment for activities. Additionally, this position supports the Head of Mission in managing operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and serves as the primary liaison between the mission and headquarters regarding logistics. The role is critical, especially given the recent opening of a base in Saida and the urgency of finalizing multiple projects with tight supply deadlines. The first few months will focus on revising PPTs, finalizing supply processes, and improving the supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistic Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: overseeing the logistics and supply chain management for the mission, ensuring compliance with Solidarités International's procedures, managing assets, coordinating with various departments to facilitate inter-department communication, and leading staff management efforts. The Coordinator will also be tasked with assessing logistical needs for ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring timely delivery of supplies, and maintaining effective communication with local authorities and partners. Furthermore, the role requires monitoring and evaluating logistical operations to identify areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA in a relevant field and have significant experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically more than 5 years of experience, with at least 3-4 years in similar positions. The role demands strong technical skills in supply chain management and asset management, as well as transversal skills in staff management and inter-department communication. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and possess the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background should ideally be complemented by specialized training or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or humanitarian aid operations, which would enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 3-4 years in a logistics role or similar capacity. This experience should include a proven track record of managing logistics in complex environments, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with international partners. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong asset, as it facilitates better communication with local stakeholders and enhances the effectiveness of operations in Lebanon.

  • The role is based in Beirut, Lebanon, and offers a competitive salary starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation costs and travel expenses. The organization implements a system of alternating work and time off, allowing for breaks every three months, with an additional rest day granted for each month worked. Expatriates are also provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, surgical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions include the possibility of a housing allowance, access to internet and telephone services, and opportunities for social engagement.
