Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position at UNICEF Indonesia involves collaborating with the People & Culture team to create a monthly newsletter that highlights job vacancies and career development opportunities for staff members. The volunteer will be responsible for graphic design tasks, including collecting information on job vacancies, creating draft design styles, and developing the final design of the newsletter. Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect information on curated job vacancies and job resources relevant to UNICEF staff.
Create draft design styles based on the requirements and target audience, and discuss these drafts with the Supervisor for feedback.
Develop the final design according to the agreed requirements, ensuring that the publication is visually appealing and accessible.
Collaborate closely with the People & Culture Manager and team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and branding.
Ensure that the newsletter is produced in a timely manner and meets the set deadlines.
Adapt designs based on feedback and make necessary revisions to enhance the overall quality of the publication.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
Creativity and a modern approach to design that resonates with the target audience.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Educational Background: A background in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in design principles and software applications will be considered an asset.
Experience: Previous experience in graphic design, particularly in creating newsletters or similar publications, is highly desirable. Familiarity with non-profit organizations or experience working in a volunteer capacity will be advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus, as it may enhance communication with local staff and stakeholders.
