Job Overview:
The Team Leader / Senior Technical Advisor-HIV position at FHI 360 involves providing strategic and technical leadership for the EpiC India project, which aims to achieve HIV epidemic control among at-risk populations. The role requires the incumbent to oversee project implementation, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure that project targets are met in alignment with donor requirements. The position is critical in enhancing the capacity of community-based organizations and ensuring effective service delivery in Maharashtra, focusing on case finding, care, and treatment for people living with HIV. The incumbent will also be responsible for integrating evidence-based best practices into the project and adapting strategies based on ongoing evaluations and stakeholder feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Team Leader / Senior Technical Advisor-HIV include leading the implementation of EpiC project activities, ensuring collaboration with national and state-level stakeholders, developing scopes of work and project deliverables, monitoring and adjusting field implementation strategies, providing technical support for HIV facilities and community service organizations, developing technical tools for lifesaving activities, and contributing to project deliverables such as reports. The incumbent will also be responsible for staying informed about current HIV/AIDS programs, documenting program activities, and performing other duties as assigned by the Project Director.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or related fields. A minimum of 12 years of experience in HIV/AIDS service delivery is required, including experience in designing and implementing projects aligned with national strategic plans. Knowledge of India’s national HIV/AIDS program and familiarity with the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) is essential. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in HIV case finding, treatment, and care, as well as prior team lead and supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills in English are mandatory.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field. This advanced degree is crucial for understanding the complexities of public health initiatives and the specific challenges associated with HIV/AIDS service delivery.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in HIV/AIDS service delivery, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing projects that align with national strategies.
