Job Overview: The position of Legal Associate in Cooperation Projects involves supporting the management with the follow-up of the International Cooperation for Development Law and applicable legal norms. The role requires addressing the requirements requested by AMEXCID and federal public dependencies, assisting general directorates in the preparation of legal instruments for the operation and monitoring of international cooperation for development. The Legal Associate will validate, correct, and manage agreements signed by the general directorates on behalf of AMEXCID. This position is part of the operational structure of the General Directorate of Project Operations in Mexico, which is responsible for coordinating the implementation and monitoring of international cooperation programs, projects, and actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the management in monitoring the International Cooperation for Development Law and applicable legal regulations.
Address the requirements requested by AMEXCID and federal public dependencies.
Assist general directorates in the preparation of legal instruments for the operation and monitoring of international cooperation for development.
Validate, correct, and manage agreements signed by the general directorates on behalf of AMEXCID.
Participate in the formulation of legal instruments in support of programs and projects for the reception of cooperation.
Coordinate with cooperating institutions for the execution of programs and projects.
Required Qualifications: Minimum academic qualifications include a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Law, International Business, or a related field in Social Sciences. Candidates with a high school diploma must have at least 6 years of experience in legal acts, drafting, and preparation of documents and contracts. Candidates with a completed bachelor's degree must have at least 3 years of experience in similar areas. Required skills include proficiency in Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), information analysis and processing, innovative thinking, agility in adaptation, and continuous learning.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Law, International Business, or a related field in Social Sciences. A postgraduate degree in Law or International Business is desired but not mandatory.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in legal acts, drafting, and preparation of documents and contracts for candidates with a high school diploma. For candidates with a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. Experience providing legal support and advice, particularly in government dependencies and the field of international cooperation, is highly valued.
Languages: Spanish is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English or other languages is considered an asset but not required.
