Job Overview:
The position of Técnico/a de Orientación Laboral involves providing comprehensive career guidance to job seekers. The role requires the individual to assess clients' skills, interests, and experiences to develop tailored action plans that facilitate their job search. The Técnico/a will conduct workshops, one-on-one counseling sessions, and provide resources on resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with local businesses and organizations to identify job opportunities and promote the services offered by the organization. The expectation is to empower clients to achieve their employment goals while also contributing to the overall mission of enhancing workforce development in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual assessments of clients to determine their career goals and needs.
  • Develop personalized action plans that outline steps for job search and skill development.
  • Facilitate workshops on job search techniques, resume writing, and interview skills.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up with clients to track their progress.
  • Collaborate with local employers to identify job openings and promote client placements.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on labor market trends and employment resources.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the organization’s services.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for program improvements based on client experiences.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Knowledge of job search strategies and labor market trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using technology and online job search platforms.
  • Experience in career counseling or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resources, social work, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in career counseling or coaching are a plus. Continuous professional development in the field of employment services is encouraged.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in career counseling, workforce development, or a related field is required. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding their unique challenges in the job market is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Proficiency in English or other languages is considered an asset and may enhance the ability to serve a broader client base.
