Job Overview: The ET Consultant position is integral to the Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) unit of the World Bank Group, which focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery through the integration of Corporate security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services. The role specifically involves managing change within the Corporate Real Estate portfolio, which is crucial as the organization refines its real estate strategy. The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies, engaging stakeholders, and tracking the effectiveness of these strategies. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing change, ensuring that the transition aligns with the World Bank Group's broader goals and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The ET Consultant will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: developing and implementing change management strategies to support the corporate real estate portfolio's expansion and realignment; conducting stakeholder mapping and engagement planning; designing and producing complex communications products tailored for internal audiences; ensuring messaging alignment with the corporate real estate strategy; maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders; facilitating stakeholder engagement meetings; tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of internal communications and engagement activities; organizing and participating in internal communications and engagement events; and executing other change management-related tasks as identified by the GCSIS Manager.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in fields such as communications, journalism, marketing, international relations, public affairs, or political science. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with strong organizational, research, analytical, and presentation abilities. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Candidates should demonstrate proven organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and operate effectively in a high-pressure, matrix management environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners are also crucial.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field with significant professional experience or a Bachelor's degree accompanied by extensive experience in related areas. Relevant fields may include communications, journalism, marketing, international relations, public affairs, or political science, among others.
Experience: The position requires substantial experience, specifically a minimum of 8 years for candidates with a Master's degree or at least 10 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in internal communications and/or change management, particularly within the World Bank Group, is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a proven track record of managing complex projects and engaging with stakeholders effectively.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, both spoken and written. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages may be beneficial in a multicultural work environment.
Additional Notes: The position is a one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the World Bank Group. There is a lifetime maximum for ET appointments of three years. If an ET appointment concludes before a full year, it is counted as a full year toward this maximum. Former and current ET staff who have completed any portion of their third-year ET appointment are ineligible for future ET appointments.
